    INCLUDED:

    Batik workshop with natural dye (2D1N)

    Central Java is famous for its textile business and that’s where we will have our Batik workshop. We work together with a community-based organization that makes natural dye products like shirts, scarves, and bags. All products are with indigo color. This experience takes a full day.

    Itinerary:

    Day 1:
    • Pickup at hotel
    • Transport to Central Java (4-5 hours by train, car or minibus)
    • Overnight in Central Java

    Day 2:
    • Batik workshop
    • Local Lunch
    • Transport back to Yogyakarta (reach hotel late evening)

    Useful Information:

    • This experience is in collaboration with the community-based initiative Sokoindigo.
    • We recommend combining the Batik experience with our primate watching and/or food & fruit experience because it is in the same area.

    Mural painting in Yogyakarta (Half Day)

    Did you know Yogyakarta is famous for its street art and artists? For this workshop, we work together with a known street artist from Yogyakarta who will guide us to make a creative mural together. This experience is super fun for kids & adults who want to unleash their creative spirit!

    Itinerary:

    • Pickup at your hotel
    • Transport from hotel to mural place (car or minibus)
    • Introduction and make the mural together in small groups
    • Lunch
    • Dropoff at your hotel

    Useful Information:

    • We recommend combining the mural experience with any other experience around Yogyakarta to make it into a full-day or multiple-day tour.
