Janick and Natalia were such amazing hosts and have created a beautiful place to stay while in Yogyakarta. It is close to lots of food options but still in a residential area where you are away from the hustle of the rest of the city. Only a few minutes from the big attraction by motorbike.The rooms are very comfortable with great beds and pillows and good AC for that Yogya heat.We felt welcomed right away and by the end of our stay felt like we were staying with friends. That kind of info is hard to get at a big hotel. Anyway loved the size of our room since our young daughter stayed with us. The facility seemed new, I think a remodel? The only problem was, our bathroom at home wasn't nearly as nice! Didn't want to leave... my wife and I both liked the eco-friendly nature of this business. Even taking a staycation and avoiding jet travel isn't enough. Java residents need to stop taking our island resources for granted. However, they omitted several things that are not in their favor. The main problem is that they did not read anything before booking (which she even admits in her review). and therefore broke several house rules (smoking even though we explained it’s not allowed in our homestay and there are signs everywhere clearly saying no smoking, bring in more than the allowed amount of overnight guests without our consent, noise until 2 am, leaving the air conditionings on for hours when they go out, etc). They also asked for early check-in (3 hours before the usual hour), which we normally charge the guests for, but we allowed them anyway, also the 2 extra people they brought in we didn’t charge because customer satisfaction is our priority and they only stayed for one night. After checking out they decided to attack our homestay’s reputation with three consecutive 1-star reviews written within a matter of minutes. If you really feel this is the right way of handling things that is your right as a customer but on the other hand we already politely and respectfully offered Olivia to handle this in a more mature way as adults, but she blocked us on WhatsApp and not answering on AirBnB anymore (even though she read our message). We are always open to resolve things maturely because in our homestay customer satisfaction is priority. Just like it is allowed to make noise in a normal way. Just like it is allowed to use the facilities in a normal way. We had many families before you who warm up their car but in a normal way which we don’t have a problem with, 5 or 10 minutes before they leave. You left your car on for more than 30 minutes in front of our front door. Sorry to hear that you don’t find this common sense but you can search on the internet what the impact is on the car and the environment of leaving it on for a long time.We are a family that has a 3-year old child living here all inhaling those car exhaust gasses. I hope you can understand first of all we asked you politely to turn off the car AFTER 30 minutes of allowing it already, and we hope you can understand why we asked you to. If you cannot understand we are sorry you feel this way and we are always open to resolve things because in our homestay customer satisfaction is priority. Because of the way Olivia and her group handled this we were forced to write a reply here and explain everything to the people reading this.
