On this multi-day trip, we explore East Java departing from Yogyakarta for an unforgettable East Java wildlife adventure. After an overnight train ride, we arrive in the easternmost part of the island, ready to dive into epic landscapes and unique local experiences. Have you ever explored a national park filled with wild animals by bicycle? This is your chance. We cycle through open savanna, spotting wildlife along the way, before lacing up our shoes to take on the local football team. Then it’s an early night, because the real highlight begins after midnight. We hike up a volcano in the dark, reaching the top just in time to watch the sunrise rise above the clouds. A truly magical moment you will never forget.
Day 1:
• Take the overnight train from Yogyakarta to Banyuwangi (11 hours) to start your East Java wildlife adventure
Day 2:
• Arrive in Banyuwangi at 5:30am
• Checkin in hotel and take a rest
• After lunch 1,5 hour drive to the national park
• Cycle through the park while watching wild animals
• Royal dinner at the beach
• Drive back to our hotel
Day 3:
• Visit a nearby monumental park on foot after breakfast
• Lunch
• Visit a nearby waterfall
• Play soccer with the local team
• Dinner
• Drive back to our hotel and sleep early
Day 4:
• Get up at 12:30am and drive up the volcano
• Hike up (1,5h) and go down in the crater to see the blue fire
• Watch the sunrise while enjoying a delicious breakfast
• Drive back to our hotel
• Rest!
• Final BBQ
Day 5:
• After breakfast we can cross to Bali and continue there or drop you off
in your hotel (depending on which part of Bali)
• If you need to be back in Yogyakarta we take the train back to Yogyakarta
